Prior to your appointment the Doctor will get to know you through questions about you, your heath and your eyes. Some eye exams may require a Dilation, you will be able to drive after your exam if you wear your sunglasses; however if you would prefer to schedule at a time more convenient for you to arrange a ride home we are happy to accommodate.

These instruments help us take the required measurements that are needed for each pair of eyeglasses more accurate. We know that it is very hard for some patients to confidently try on and purchase a frame while not being able to see without wearing their glasses. With the help of these instruments, we are able to take photos of our patients wearing up to four different frames to help them compare each frame, making their selection much easier.
Once the patient has chosen their new pair of eyeglasses, we then give education towards their individual needs for lenses. We always offer the latest designs of digitally surfaced progressive lenses and bifocals. It is highly recommended that each pair of eyeglasses also has an anti reflective coating applied. If a patient is looking for more than just a clear set of lenses, we also offer the latest selection of transition lenses that will change from light to dark when outside in bright sun. Since these lenses will not change in the car behind a windshield, and true prescription sun glass is often suggested. Our selection of leading top brands include Maui Jim, Costa Del Mar, and Wiley-X. All of which are equipped with polarized lenses giving patients the best visual comfort in bright sun while also eliminating glare.

They will also fit and adjust their frame to fit them properly while giving instructions for proper upkeep and cleaning regiments. This will help aid in a longer life of both the lenses and frame.
